In the tutorial, Customizing Agent to Chat with Your Documents, How to include the relevant documents in response?

Hello guys,

I followed the tutorial https://haystack.deepset.ai/tutorials/25_customizing_agent for creating chat agent. I have setup 3 different Tools. What should i do so that the relevant documents retrieved from each tool be sent in the response also? Right now i'm getting empty list for the documents e.g.:

Hey @jaemskyle I'm afraid we don't have support for that feature out of the box. Have you made any progress on this yourself?

Hi @vblagoje thank you for your response. Right now I have not made any progress. From the code based on what I understood, it is only returning the answer text and filtering out the other information result from each tool. Do you have some suggestion of a way to tap on this and potentially save the tool result somewhere (with all the response and documents) that I can grab and ultimately use on the client? Yeah, unfortunately, these types of customizations are not that easy with Haystack 1.x. You'd have to do some customizations on your own I'm afraid.
