we'd need to update DCIC submission form to reflect the recent changes done by DCIC

  • contributing lab field is no longer present in all of the tabs in the excel sheet ...
  • we should update ours accordingly

  • contributing labs` should be updated in the models as well
  • cLIMS models need to be updated to be able top handle PacBio type of sequencing data
  • create a new json for pacBio data and populate it in the admin panel, Field type: Experiement and Field Name: PacBio protocol or PacBio whatever ...
  • consider making Import Sequencing Files-"button" more flexible, e.g. to deal with single-end sequencing files, and maybe pacbio etc
  • consider breaking Add Modification into several separate form , because right now it includes everything and often times people need only a tiny fraction of it ... (it used to required by DCIC - is it still - check with DCIC) ...
  • Upgrade Analysis model according to distiller output files.
  • Upgrade Django version.

check for help and general info here: https://data.4dnucleome.org/help/submitter-guide/spreadsh

here is the command to get the most complete DCIC submission spreadsheet (do it, once submit4dn is installed):
get_field_info --type all --comments --outline Allitems.xls

  • VM where cLIMS is running - is the place where we should be submitting metadata from.
  • keep track of ~/dcic ...
  • /$NL/users/dcic is a place from which we perform fastq uploads
