When accessing with the App to a data set for which there is a combination of categories of the data set, it is still not possible to select the category option of the combination of categories of the data set.

Which version of DHIS 2 instance are you running? Data set categories are supported for 2.24+.

We are using 2.23 but field is available in data set (and we are actually using it):
