Find a good name that is not as generic as "audio-visualizer-python".
If we have a good name, we need a logo.

Soundwave and VisualWaveStudio are probably my top picks from this list. With the new modular system & UI it really is becoming a Post Production Studio application/platform. I think we should market towards that and not as a python script. We are well beyond that point already with a multi-threaded - layer based rendering engine, modular components, alpha channel support, multi-codec support, and even more features on the roadmap.

how about using a name from another language? Examples from languages I know:
Schallwelle (German for sound wave)
Wellenlinie (German for wavy line)
onpa (Japanese for sound wave)
unda sonora (Latin for sound wave)
