I have stopped doing any work on this project, unfortunately.
So unless someone decides to take this project from me and maintain it, this bug will not be fixed.
Regarding the bug itself (in case someone will try to fix it): if I remember correctly, Gtk+ causes PIPE signals to arrive, so any application that uses Gtk+ pretty much has to block this signal.
