As you can see in the image, the selected folder in the tree view is hidden.
Same happens with files.
I believe it has something to do with the negative z-index given to the ::after element of the span surrounding the folder image and directory name.
This is on Linux Mint 17.1, running Atom 1.4.1

It happens to me too, it doesn't hide them though. It changes its color, white on white.

Seems to happen on Linux.
I will fix this when I have more time. But if you could fix and submit a PR, I would appreciate it a lot!
