Description

currently the default ref log expiry set as 0 which will keep the logs indefinite. Git documentation says default expiry of ref logs is 90 days. reference : https://git-scm.com/docs/git-reflog

Motivation

There are some repositories which gets frequent commits and the logs growing pretty huge. Once it reached a certain limit of 16mb, reftable block size limit of inflated size is reached and further updates are getting errored out .

Alternatives considered

This is a work around by reducing the logs to be stored in ref table
