Cleaning Up outdated legacy issues

Hi,

to provide better tracking and overview over current and future releases, I would like to close all outdated issues under sig-release where documentation has not been kept updated with the progress made, making the issues redundant and/or where no contributions have been made at least this year and no active contributor has been found.

The goal is to have a current and up-to-date issue list that provides a reliable and transparent overview of open issues and progress made.

Hoping for assistance - if you are tagged in an issue that is outdated, please close it yourselves!
