I don't think there is a way of adding symbols apart from this list.

First of all, thanks for taking an interest in this extension.
Sorry I haven't seen this until now, I must've missed it in the torrent of GitHub emails.

@fourtf is absolutely right, the list is hard-coded for now. It shouldn't be, but it is.

I had several ideas for this extension way back when it was first created, but have sadly neglected it since then. Perhaps it's time I dusted off this project.
