Threads get remarked as unread from time to time

Steps to reproduce

1. Hang around in a room where threads are used
2. Someone starts a new thread
3. You read the thread
4. Sometimes, suddenly all threads from the past eternity are marked unread
5. This is fixed by "mark room as read" until the next occurence

Outcome

What did you expect?

When a thread is marked as read it should stay read until there's more activity in that specific thread

What happened instead?

All threads were marked as unread

I see this too. This, plus how there is no way to follow threads you've commented on before, makes threads almost unusable for me in active channels.
