I don't know what's happening here. I'm not sure if it was a recent update (I just now updated the game today after another one went out) or if it's because I updated my Nvidia drivers, but this is happening.

Just got the flashlight and noticed the game chug a bit when I flash it at the screen, granted it's not massive stuttering but it's noticeable and distracting. (feels like it's going from 60 to 30)

I tried to record video to show but it's only recording 30 fps so that won't work. I play the game in 60.
And weirdly enough, when I hit Record to show it, it stopped doing it on my end. Hit Stop, went back to doing it.

UPDATE

So when I tested this game out before after updating to the final release, I only tested playing as Maria, she has no light.
So I didn't get to see with the light on and didn't notice anything. So I messed with the advanced options to see if anything changes.

Turning off Lens Flare fixed the issue, but it's weird to not have it on, as it takes away the light on James' pocket.
Instead, I lowered the Render Resolution to x1.5 instead of 2.0 and that fixed the weird issue I was having with aiming the flashlight at the screen and having a weird in-game dip to 30 fps everytime it does it.

Try experimenting with this setting to see if it helps any:

If no improvements occur, set it back to "Auto".
