Adjusting borders around editable regions #293
Comments
Haha, I created the same issue 3 second later. :)

So the reason those boxes are there is that some user can't find the area... Some themes also make it really hard, it's sometimes quite small. I'd like us to keep the borders somehow, but without it being annoying. Can you think of a way it wouldn't be annoying for you? |
;) The solution is clear for me, but I don't know if it's doable. It would consist on having a settings page for the plugin with the option to enable or disable that boxes with a checkbox. Maybe that could be also enabled/disabled from the top bar but I'd want that to dissapear ;) so the first option would be more desirable for me. |
I don't like adding new UI or adding an option for this, I'd lather see something that would work for you and others at the same time. I assume that the borders are okay to have when you enable the editor, but annoying when they stay there during writing/editing? Or are they just annoying regardless? |
Maybe show them briefly when you hover the mouse on any part of the browser window? They are not pretty anyway, I kind of hate them :( More users should give their opinion though. I've got strong feelings about that... |
Those blue boxes around each block of content are not really working for me. They make me feel I'm filling out a questionnaire. I really liked the "blank slate" look of the previous version of the plugin. You click on one area and if the cursor is blinking you know you can edit that part. That's enough for me, but I guess others may feel the boxes are OK. Could there be an option to enable or disable them?
