The app worked (and works) fantastic with my MSI MP273QP Monitor.

It's open-source, fast, light-weight. It can also start at Windows start up. It can be arranged in the tray section on the taskbar for quick use.

The only (few) cons I have found are missing DEFAULT and CUSTOM PRESET brightness values.

Currently it's set to 70 (out of 100).

Change it each time I turn on my computer, it's a bit annoying, especially when it's a sunny day (you need 100 value) or when it's a little be cloudy and you need an intermediate value (something like 85) or when it's dark and you need a lower value (about 50).

The slider works great but you need to be precise and it takes more time to adjust correctly.

This is because, having a window near my desktop, where I use my computer, even if I have installed a curtain, I need to adjust accordingly to weather.

It would be nice to have a sort of LIST with custom preset values, something like this:

  • Default 70 (or value you set) //cleanSky
  • Max 100 //Sunny
  • Intermediate 85 //Cloudy
  • Low 50 //dark //Night

All these options should be in the main menu displayed when you click Monitorian icon.

You can create desktop shortcuts to set brightness to specified value using command-line options (add-on feature of Microsoft Store version)

The following is example to create a shortcut.

Shortcut

Then, name the shortcut as you wish.
