mmmm I think it is a problem in config part status: Can anybody advise what to change. I guess I have use part of teslamate config. But teslamate doesnt have no climater function |

I suppose the reason is preventing waste of grid energy an thus keeping solar share high / cost low. If you set a limit of 80%, the limit is reached and climater runs for half an hour, with 11 kw, up to 5.5 kw are charged from the grid, with 4.1, it will be just about 2, with just 1 phase even less. |

No that's not the case. It use full power till its warm and then switch back to minimum. With only 6A it takes all morning to defrost. And if ypu want to save energy. Do not defrost at all . Thats way cheaper... and colder |

At least my car and the one I had before, distinguish between preclimating and preconditioning. The first one is the normal case, where only the inner space is pre-heated or pre-cooled, the battery is only slightly heted, this just takes up to 2 or 3 kW power, typically less, depending on temperature. Preconditioning is extra for the special case where you want to charge at a HPC very near to your starting point, so there is not enough time to precondition while driving. Never used this function, but I suppose this takes a lot more power.
This is only true when the battery is at 100 % or at the limit set in the car settings. When you set a limit in evcc, it will consume all the offered power for charging the car battery. |

My car with heat pump manages preclimating within a few minutes at 1400W: runs 10 minutes before departure. The battery is usually empty at that moment; the price is often dynamically expensive. Since the time is so "short" and the demand for energy is low, I can cope with it as it is. Sometimes it's inefficient that the house battery is used, but sometimes it is even correct - if there is any battery power at all. Actually, it should be decided outside of the preclimate function which is right assumption at the current moment. There is an economic connection. I wouldn't need a change at the moment. A charging of the car should be avoided in any case to take configured charging limits into account. |

I would not be in favor of this request. With Climater, the low output is fully sufficient in my opinion. I mainly use pre-condition in the morning. Experience has shown that electricity is expensive then (dynamic prices), so I would simply “have to” buy more electricity at the same time, although I wouldn't notice any advantage in pre-air conditioning, because it is tied to the time in my case. Runs 15 minutes before departure. |

I dont get it. If your car is satisfied with low power then it will also take it when full power is available. Right ? |

No, Imagine a limit of 80% in evcc but 100% in the car. Now climater starts, evcc offers 11 kW -> the car starts charging with 11 kW. Your claim is only true when the car is fully charged. |

Describe the bug
If I activate precondition function in Tesla. The MQTT set pre_condition flag but evcc doesnt react on it.
In pvmode only 6A is used. If I switch to Fast then 11KW is activated. I logs no response at climater flag.
