Is there a way I can enable hover zoom for links in reddit comments specifically?

I downloaded hover zoom so that I could mouse over links to images in reddit comments without having to open them in a new tab. This works well, but I dislike how the extension activates for images in reddit posts when scrolling on the main page.

I'd like to disable the extension for reddit unless the thing I'm hovering over is a hyperlink to an image that is present in the text of a reddit post or comment.
