In my case it is not working with Virtual Desktop. Is it just me?

This should only apply to Oculus games, as VD's hooking probably prevents the actual Oculus APIs from being loaded. I'll have to investigate if I can easily hook into VD's replacements, instead. SteamVR games should work fine, I'd expect.

Sorry for reviving old thread, so I am using Quest 2 through Virtual Desktop and have iRacing running through revive libraries. it launches through OpenVR(MHD)/SteamVR rather than oculus VR(oculus home isnt even running)

Unfortunately, no. I tried to add the VD implementation of the Oculus API to the injection list, but it doesn't work.

Can you ask VD developer for help? Even cooler if you also start working together to add FFR support to VD itself. That would be a killer feature.

FYI the new version of Virtual Desktop fixed the issue with OVR API hooks:

Quest/Pico/Vive version 1.29.10 - Release Notes
[...]
• Fixed compatibility with vrperfkit in Oculus mode

There was just a flag we weren't properly honoring. I tested it with Contractors VR in Oculus mode, and the fixed foveated rendering was working.
