Hi there!

I see that Armory settings has a new warning:

It is probably a good idea to warn people about changing power levels without knowing what they are for.

However, just a warning without any information is not very good. Where would the average Asus laptop user go to find out what power levels / temperatures their specific laptop can sustain?

Another question that pops up is: Are the defaults listed in the app safe? From the warning it would not appear so, because it states: "The following settings..." Which would include the settings that are default. Is this really what was meant?

If the default settings are presumed safe, then the warning should be more along the lines of: "Changing the following settings are unsafe, ensure you know what you are doing"

And then provide some reputable links to find out what your specific computer was designed to handle.
Apart from all that whining, it is a really good app, and thanks for making it. ;)

I was trying to catch you on Discord, but the link in the readme of this project seems to be expired.

I have been digging a little on the power settings, and it seems that there is even more room for improvement.
My laptop is a pretty beefy ROG Strix SCAR, and it safely supports more wattage that what is available in the current armory settings.

It is also an AMD chip, and apparently they use different names for things. I'll put some photos of the same laptop with Armor Crate open on Windows 11, for your comparison.

I am always available for testing and will be happy to help in that way. Unfortunately I am not good at coding, and leave that to the professionals.

Not quite what you asked for, but quite a lot more descriptive.

This is the output of journalctl -b | grep asusd
