Using the follow option to stop Trouble from changing its contents after I navigate to a different symbol?

I'm trying to make Trouble not change the contents of its window after I've opened it and then move the caret to a different symbol.

For example, if I open the references in Trouble for function abc then when I move the caret to xyz I don't want the references window to show the references for xyz, I want the references to remain the ones for abc.

I thought this is what the follow option for Trouble controls and I've been trying to modify it with the following:

But this doesn't seem to be effective? Have I misunderstood the follow option or am I somehow setting the option incorrectly?
