Demand creates supply - so bounties are a driver for further success of FreedomSponsors service.
More bounties - more developers - more bounties again.
Solution:
Please consider introducing referral/partner program by rewarding with part of the bounty those who leads bounties to FreedomSponsors service.
It will not cause fee increasing as referral reward could be split out of the FreedomSponsors service fee. Yes, it means that FreedomSponsors service will get less from each payment - but it also means that FreedomSponsors will get a lot more payments, so it will even increase profits.
No doubt that technically it is possible as bounties are already processed (please correct me if I am wrong) using multi-payment. I guess it wouldn't be a great problem to add another receiving address into the process of payment processing.
Key benefits of introducing referral program:
"Open-source-spirit-adequate": No obligations, everybody is free to voluntary do what he/she thinks appropriate: either proposing issues, or organising crowd-funding campaign, or sponsoring bounties, or providing bugfixes - or enjoying the entire process and amazing software!
Profit: Introducing referral system is money-making activity for FreedomSponsors project. What could be more exciting than having much money for making the world even better?
There are several possibilities for such effort:
User-referral: Either referral system in its usual meaning when new-comers are referrals forever of that one who invites them.
Bounties-referral: Or referral is that person who posted a bounty and have been invited to crowd-funding of the issue by another user. In this case it means that referral is a bounty, not user.
My vote is for latter alternative.
Key advantages of bounty-referral against user-referral:
Relatively simple initial implementation: As we already have a "proposed" status of a bounty, as initial effort we could make a referrer that person who proposed a bounty - relatively simple comparing to creating user-referral system from scratch.
Fair: It is good start, although in long-perspective we should consider creating real referral system - something like "utm_source" to identify those who really leads bounties to existing (proposed) issues.
