No user interface to resume paused workflows

Wanted to try the pause module for workflows (introduced 11 years ago and still in beta state).

It seems that the only function seems to be to pause a workflow, I could not find a way to un-pause it. Was there ever a way to do so?

Would find this pretty useful if users could

• click a button to restart or even
• enter a value that could be used like an input for downstream tools.

I'm looking for a way that allows users to input to workflows while they are running.
