Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism in your interactions with the audience, organizers, and fellow speakers. Be prepared, punctual, and engaged.
Inclusive Content: Ensure that your content is inclusive and respectful of all participants, regardless of their background, identity, or experience. Avoid offensive language or content that could be deemed discriminatory or exclusionary.
Respectful Engagement: Encourage respectful engagement during your presentation and any follow-up discussions. Be open to questions, feedback, and diverse viewpoints.
Promote Positive Learning: Strive to create a positive learning experience for participants by providing valuable and accurate information. Share insights, experiences, and practical advice that can benefit the audience.
The following behaviors are considered unacceptable for speakers within the GitHub Community Sri Lanka:
Disrespectful Behavior: Engaging in disrespectful, offensive, or disruptive behavior during your presentation or interactions with participants.
Discriminatory Content: Sharing content that promotes discrimination, harassment, or bias based on factors such as gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
Inappropriate Language: Using offensive or inappropriate language that could offend or alienate participants.
Promotion of Harmful Activities: Promoting or advocating for harmful activities, illegal actions, or unethical behaviors.

No Marketing or Brand Promotion: The Community Spotlight segment is intended for sharing valuable insights and experiences, not for marketing purposes. Speakers are prohibited from using this platform to promote brands, products, or carry out marketing campaigns. The focus should remain on educational and inspirational content that benefits the community.
Speakers who participate in GitHub Community Sri Lanka events are expected to adhere to this Speaker Code of Conduct. Any violations will be taken seriously and may result in actions such as a warning, removal from the current event, or future restrictions on speaking opportunities within our community.
