overview plugin steals focus when creating new file

When creating a new file, either with Ctrl + N or File -> New the focus is not on the content.
That means, I can't immediately start typing text, instead I first have to click into the content box with my mouse, or have to press Tab key twice to get there.

This only happens when the overview plugin is active.
Running on Manjaro sway edition, geany 1.38
