I am new to maven. Especially for the testing plugins we might be able to strip parts of the pom.xml.
Not sure if we need the maven-compiler plugin and the maven-tycho-surefire plugin.
E.g. https://github.com/knime/knime-r/blob/e7e2d672cb654937eb5bd9aff16b1879fdaa0996/org.knime.r.tests/pom.xml
does not have them.
