I tried to use render = false to temporarily disable pages from showing up in my website, and was surprised to see that they still showed up in taxonomy term pages. I did some digging and realized that this is the intended behavior (at least if this thread is the impetus for adding the render config option), but it wasn't intuitive to me that that was the expected behavior.

It'd be good if that consequence were documented more clearly.

I think right now you can use draft = true to hide it but the whole render = false can be confusing I agree. Not sure how to solve that though. We can fix it with better docs but I'm wondering whether there's a better way to handle that case and be able to pick where things are hidden from etc.
