git accessing remote branch

This small howto explains how to download a remote repository, and then access a branch that is not the standard one. For more information on how to correctly download a remote repository, see git workflow.
Use:
- $git clone [email protected]/myrepository/repository.git folder_name$ to download the repository to your pc.

$git branch -a$ shows all branches. -
$git checkout -b branchname remotes/origin/branchname$ let's you create a local tracking branch.
