Copy-pasting weird behavior in Ghostty on MacOS

MacOS: 15.2 Sequoia

When i open a ghostty terminal and copy-paste url quickly. Something strange happens. There is some delay with url encoding 🤔

Shell? That looks like bash with its bracketed paste; I've always found it to be a little dodgy in my experience. Perhaps the terminal emulator you used previously didn't support bracketed paste, which is why you only see this in Ghostty?

Ok. So what is the solution for that? Becuase it is a little bit annoying :)

It's been a long time since I fooled with bracketed paste, but in iTerm it used to be cmd+r (which iirc is a shortcut for reset).

There's a set of long threads about bracketed paste in several extensions/projects across GitHub, this seems to be the conclusion most of them end with:

TL;DR - the suggestion is to run this command to disable bracketed paste:

printf '\e[?2004l'
