Some thoughts that came up during discussion with @jonashaldemann:

  • should there be a K topology detected? (max distance for n, max number of beams)
  • should all joints know how to handle N beams? (lots of ) should there be one joint class which handles N beams?

Ive been thinking about this a bit. maybe we can start with direct joints that take multiple elements but that can skip the topology solver steps.

I think there's some duplicates, since it's such a controversial issue ;)
should we perhaps close this one in favor of #301?
