Safety Reset button not working

Hi, I wired up a safety emergency stop switch to my DLC ESP32 Makerbase controller. However, it doesn't appear to do anything when pressed. Is the reset port enabled in the firmware?

The soft reset input is not enabled due to lack of pins. The dedicated reset input should work since that hard resets the MCU.

What do you mean by lack of pins? There are two physical pins in the socket marked Reset.

I know, it is the reset input I referred to in my previous comment. One is connected to ground, the other to the MCU reset pin. Short them to halt the MCU.

It could be that the pins are not wired via traces on the PCB to the MCU.

Could be but then your board is faulty? The one I have resets the MCU when I short the pins.
