Nothing too fancy about this but thought I'd share anyway.
Here's a HDMI-HDMI cable that I wanted to add into my inventory but .. getting a QR code on this would be very tricky!
So I bought a very pack of very small NFC tags. They fit into just the connector end!
Writing to them is easy.
I firstly created an item in Homebox (I'm using an 'Added NFC Tag' label to categorise these):
In NFC Tools on Android just create a custom URL record with the Homebox asset ID:
Then approach the tag and write it!
You can even use the 'lock tag' command to prevent them from being overwritten (note: this action is irreversible):
