Could you please add either script or documentation how to populate the ARCHIVE_PATH=/run/media/hughsie/Backup/mirror with data? This is related to hughsie/appstream-glib#489 but mostly to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/-/issues/2669, where I try to figure out why there are inconsistencies in information G-S provides about GVim. I don't think I can proceed without producing updated appstream-data package.

It's a full rsync of the Fedora mirror. I've got a script that strips out some stuff like .iso if that's useful. Or, if you want, I can just build rawhide into a new appstream-data package for you to test -- assuming you've done the build already.

Well, I have not done the build yet, because I still struggle with what needs to be modified in GVim AppData and GVim plugins. I'd love to avoid more breakage than there already is. Maybe compiling some guidance later. So yes, adding the script would probably help my case.

Comment in those scripts would be also likely enough

Actually, I have realized that for my purposes, the minimal metadata containing just the packages I am interested in (GVim + plugins) should be enough (or maybe even better) for testing.
