Problem right now: deciding where to add the information of the testimoniant. It can be added in the testimonial itself, which is probably the easiest from a content editors' point of view since all the info will be in 1 place. But that also results in having to edit the info again elsewhere, if that person is linked to other reviews, organizations or articles for example.

The alternative is to have a central location to add the personal info and then link that location to the testimonial. This however, means added complexity from having to add content in multiple locations. Also not ideal, especially if you are 95% sure that the person from a testimonial will never be linked to anything else.

One solution I see now is to work with a fallback. Instead of having to choose between one location or the other, we can make both locations work. If you want to enter the personal details in the testimonial itself: go for it. But as soon as you link a central user / client / person resource to the testimonial, the information inside this resource will take precedence.

Will this work? And make sense? Or will it be too confusing or difficult to implement? If that's the case: which of the above options should we go for?

Another problem is that right now, each testimonial links to a detail page, but it's not a given that each item actually comes with its own full page review. In fact, I think in practice: most don't.

So some level of control over where the testimonial links (and if it links at all) would be useful.
