Since the instructions for helping to volunteer involve joining Slack (is that what CfA wants?), could you just link to http://slack.codeforamerica.org/ directly? That's where the 'Join us on Slack' link leads.

At the moment, we link to the Code for America Brigade Program page, which has the "Join us on Slack" link in the top right. It also has lots of information about finding a local brigade or starting one, which, while not the quickest way to get started on this specific project, is probably something you all want new volunteers to see.
What are your thoughts on bypassing the brigade program page and linking directly to the Slack sign up?
This is an easy, minor change to make -- just let me know "Yes, we should change it" and I'll make the change, or close this issue with a comment and we won't. Thanks.
