When I attempt to run peacock by calling just peacock: command not found When I attempt to run peacock from the relevant directory by using Error starting peacock: Could not import vtk You may need to either create or load an environment providing PyQt, VTK, etc. Then run peacock again I am attempting to run peacock from the environment it attempts to set up. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thanks! |

Hi Guillaume, I have followed the instructions the error gave and set up the peacock environment - even within the peacock environment that error appears. I added peacock to my path variable, and am still getting the following error: You may need to either create or load an environment providing PyQt, VTK, etc. Then run peacock again Note that I am running this peacock environment as the error message said to set it up. Thanks! |

Oooo... trame-vtk. Right. That should work. But I am finding issues with it myself. Apologies for this (I am the one responsible for this package). This is a temporary fix, until I get that package squared away. Can you perform the following: mamba deactivate
mamba env remove -n peacock
mamba create -n peacock python=3.10 pandas pyqt matplotlib vtk
mamba activate peacock...and then attempt to use Peacock. |

There are a number of other threads where this combination/situation, is not working correctly. My own personal Windows 10 machine works at home, and... I don't know why. Can you try an older version? mamba deactivate
mamba env remove -n peacock
mamba create -n peacock moose-peacock=2022.12.05
mamba activate peacockI believe this was the last version that I remember working in WSL. As in, this ref thread: #22718 (reply in thread) |

This is not going to be a Conda issue then. This is going to be either a VcXsrv configuration issue, or something with Windows 'blocking' the Display port perhaps. Can you run the following? mamba deactivate
mamba create -n paraview paraview
mamba activate paraview
paraviewIt might take a while to pop up, but this is a product that uses much of the same dependencies as Peacock, but is not Peacock. Its a good test to make sure, its not something strange with our Peacock package. Also, does |
