Adding debian packages to IMAGE

Hi,

I am trying to add debian packages to IMAGE, Ive tried adding IMAGE_INSTALL/IMAGE_PREINSTALL to my machine.conf file but this doesnt help.

When I added DEBIAN_DEPENDS in one of the bb files the debian packages are included as part of RFS bu I dont want to do this as bb files doesnt really DEPENDS (I want to include it in the conf file). How can I add the same to machine.conf any pointers on doing this would be helpful.
