Compiling on OSX (M1 chip)

Hi all,
I am really new to INDI and c++, however I do have some development background. I am trying to compile Indi on my Mac with the goal to eventually try to develop a driver, however I'm already failing to get the project compiled :( Are there any docs or hints that someone could point me to, to get things started?

to answer my own question: it was a problem with the old-ish clang version that ships with osx. installing newest llvm with homebrew and setting the compiler path in c_cpp_properties.json as well as settings.json allowed me to compile and install stable-2.1.0
