If ConnectX-6 Nics are enabled with the multiport eswitch mode by following the tutorial, it fails to send packets over the PF1 netdev device according to the experiment results by using machines connected via switches or direct cables.

There is an ongoing communication with NVIDIA developers regarding this issue. @guvenc @PlagueCZ
