I investigated a while ago and it was very complex to make it work on older OSes. I'd have to change the code almost entirely, and there's not many people asking for that, almost everyone that was asking for that moved to sonoma eventually.

Isn't it widely reported that Apple's Game Porting Toolkit only works reliably on Sonoma anyway? (And requires at least Ventura?)
