I used this tutorial to install Crossover with CXPatcher.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfoDP6Kblpg

I start Battle.net with D3DMetal and MSync.

Unfortunately when I start the game I always get an error "This application encountered an unexpected error"

I really have no idea what could be the issue, I did everything mentioned in the tutorial.

Maybe somebody here had the same problem and could help me, I would be super happy about that <3

Do you have the same problem with unpatched crossover?

I am going to try that tomorrow, I have to download Diablo again.

For now I use NVIDIA GeForce NOW... and my lord I love it <3 <3 <3

This is the innovation of the century. You basically stream the game from a cloud computer which is super fast. I have just 20ms latency and the graphics are amazing! And I can run every game on it, damn I love it!

I will try the crossover thing again tomorrow but if it doesn't work I'm gonna stick to the Nvidia solution, so chill and it works so good, I can't believe it!

I also have a video available where I showcase how I enjoy testing games and how they run on my Mac Mini M4. In the video, you can also see Diablo IV, so you can see for yourself and trust what I’m saying. https://youtu.be/RjpdmGg7KqM?t=528

That's awesome :) I wish they would run on my machine too =/ But it doesn't work with CXPatcher

How did you do it?

I have a video for you that might help with the installation. I’d also recommend checking out my channel and finding the video about fan settings. Even though it’s for the Mac Mini, it’s mostly the same, with the main difference being that, for example, the MacBook Pro has two fans. However, you’ll need to fine-tune it yourself, and it’s at your own risk. Both devices tend to heat up a lot after prolonged gaming, as the system often doesn’t start cooling automatically—or if it does, it’s not very effective.
