Execution parameters

Hello! Very nice project. I could compile it without problem under Linux.
When I try to execute the program from Lazarus, I get an error message saying that "/Users/andreas/Lazarus/karina/lib/i386-darwin/karina.sh" doesn't exist. That's how I discovered the menu item "Execution parameters". I never paid attention to it, although I use Lazarus for years! Thank you for that. :)
Now, my question is: what is the content of karina.sh? And what is the advantage of that execution method?
By the way, I see that a french translation is available but I didn't find how to use it. Even if I choose french in language menu, I still have german interface.
