Enforce device Name the Mut 6.2.1 #124

Hello, Your CSV doesn’t match what MUT is expecting, so you are being offered the ability to submit a list of serial numbers to assign to / remove from static groups. I’m not at my Mac right now, but MUT has templates for you to download, and you should use one of them. Try not to remove any of the headers on row 1. HTH, chris |
Hi, I'm new here. Didn't know where to put my question. I have been trying to add barcodes to ipads that I have already added into Jamf Pro using MUT. I use the Mobile Device Template that is within the MUT Template folder. I add the Mobile Device Serial, Asset Tag, PO number, and the Site ID. What I notice is that Excel puts an apostrophe next to the barcode. It removes the leading zero. It converts it to Text. I try the upload and nothing happens in Jamf. This used to work before (so I was told). Thank you, |
@Araiza909 If your column in Excel is Text and you can see the leading zeroes, then when you save as .csv the leading zeroes should be there. There is a feature in Excel when doing data entry to type an apostrophe first and then the number you entered would be text. Try not to use this. If the column is Text before data entry you should be good. thanks, chris |
Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble modifying the name using the "mut 6.2..1" in Jamf Pro. I created a CSV file and uploaded it in the app, but it doesn't modify the name as expected. Instead, drop-down menus appear, asking which modification I want to apply, but none of the options corre
spond to updating the device name (see attached picture).
Thanks
