A feature that it's missing is, rather than muting (in which videos on the tab keep playing), to actually pause and play the audio from the tab, whether it be a YouTube video or other audio-producing web page. This would be really helpful to have on your single pane design.
Other extensions do this already, but they appear to have disappeared (likely due to recent changes in Chrome).
My use cases is to load up multiple tabs with videos I'm interested in watching, but I can only watch one at a time, and sometimes I want to pause one video, resume another video, then go back to the previous video. Hence the need to not drone on, YouTube just keeps loading video after video, assuming eyeballs are watching when they really are not, and when I come back to the page wanting to resume the video, I find something completely different playing and am forced to backtrack.

In my use case, after Chrome crashes and I perform a session restore, or when I restart my MacBook: the tabs in Chrome are recreated. However, every tab starts playing videos instead of staying paused. I have an Autostop plugin installed, but it sometimes doesn’t work as expected or introduces a significant delay.
My current workaround is to click on Mute Tab. However, muting the tab only turns off the sound, while the video continues playing, consuming CPU and other resources. I’d prefer for the video to stop completely. To achieve this, I have to double-click the listed tab and manually click stop. Since all the tabs are still loading, this process is time-consuming, as there’s a noticeable delay with each click.
To improve this, there should be an additional row of buttons or icons for the following:
For each tab: A separate Stop icon and a Play icon.
A global button: Stop all playing tabs.
(Why separate Stop/Play icons? Since clicks can have a delay, some users might click twice, thinking the first click didn’t register. If the Play icon replaces the Stop icon in the same position, this could result in inadvertently starting the video again.)
I love your extension!
