(Issue and fix reported by Greg Osterbaan and Joe Quevedo of Columbus Zoo)
Some dhcp servers are not returning a correct classless_static_route when the SG dhcp client asks for it.
Because the routes returned in that option are the only ones used (when the client has requested
them), this breaks connectivity.
One possible fix is to just disable
the option classless_static routes in the file /etc/dhcpcd.conf
This works on their network, but would it cause problems elsewhere?
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
Another work-around is to leave the option enabled, but test connectivity using a script in /etc/dhcp/dhclient-exit-hooks.d, then disable the option and retry dhcp if necessary.
