Run other tools via symlinks to bootstrap script

Using mise generate bootstrap -l, it's easy to install mise in a project, but I'd like to simplify usage by other developers without them having to learn another tool. Examle set up:

• bin/mise is the mise bootstrap script
• bin/ is a symlink to mise

I'd like ./bin/<tool> to run the tool, automatically installing it if required.

I've gotten this working with a small tweak to the bootstrap script, by changing the final exec to:

fi

Here's an example flow using this in a dummy project:

# add ./bin to PATH
$ cat .envrc
export PATH="$PATH:$PWD/bin"
$ source .envrc


# run the tool binary, neither mise nor the tool are installed
# this bootstraps mise + the tool (based on mise.toml versions), then runs it.
$ exa
mise: installing mise...
######################################################################################################################################################################################################################## 100.0%
mise: installed successfully to /Users/prashant/dev/project-tool-version-demo/mise-auto-bootstrap/.mise/mise-2025.1.6
mise Installed binary into /Users/prashant/dev/project-tool-version-demo/mise-auto-bootstrap/.mise/installs/ubi-ogham-exa/0.10.1/bin/exa
mise ubi:ogham/[email protected] ✓ installed                                                                                                                                                                                          bin  mise.toml  README.md

Is this something we can incorporate into the official bootstrap script (perhaps as an option)?

sounds like --binstubs for bundler. I'd be open to this especially since it seems it would pair well with the current task-stubs generator
