SYMPTOMS
========

When you use the Comprehensive Map style in Microsoft Encarta Interactive World
Atlas 2001, you may not be able to zoom in to an urban area on a map.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if the Hill Shading feature is turned off.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, turn on the Hill Shading feature:

1. In the left pane, click Map Customizer.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the list, and click to select the Hill Shading check
  box.

3. Click Map Customizer to close the menu.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Encarta Interactive
World Atlas 2001.
