Describe the bug

After the option Allow direct file playback is turned on in the plugin, the remote control in the official Android app breaks and shows nothing.

To Reproduce

  1. Option Allow direct file playback is turned on in the jellycon plugin. Restart Kodi.
  2. In android jellyfin app, press cast, select local kodi device, and then click play on a video.
  3. Video played on kodi successfully, but the remote control on the android app is not showing up.
  4. Manually open remote control by clicking cast button and click remote control, and a blank remote control manual shows up, sometimes shows NaN error message.

Expected behavior

Remote control launch normally as if Allow direct file playback option turned off.

System (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Android, NixOS
  • Jellyfin Version: 10.8.13
  • Kodi Version: 20.5
  • Addon Version: v0.8.0

Additional context

I turn on Allow direct file playback option solely because it can load the external ass/srt subtitles.
I do not know why those subtitles cannot be loaded when the Allow direct file playback is turned off when using android app casting function.
I would prefer Allow direct file playback option turned off as default if the subtitle can be loaded.
the jellyfin-kodi addon seems shows the remote control and the subtitles fine, but I have multiple jellyfin users to cast videos from apps to kodi.
