Play/Pause button isn't working

The play/pause button on Samsung's smart remote control isn't working as intended. In all other major media apps pressing that button plays or pauses the video without bringing up any overlays or pop-ups. However, on Jellyfin 10.10.3/Tizen 8.0, pressing that button brings up another pop-up to control the media but that doesn't work as well.

This issue was previously mentioned here, and I think it was "fixed" here, and here but I'm not sure on that since the issue is still happening.

Any idea if this can be fixed?
