Latest tests are breaking on travis-ci post rails 4 release due to not specifying an upper version limit.

Rails 4 support shouldn't be too hard, and testing multliple versions via appraisal seems the way to go.

testing multiple rails versions via appraisal is setup in latest develop, builds are not yet passing on rails 4
