Selecting objects inside containers

Hi, I would like to discuss the selection of objects inside containers,

I'm wandering if it would be more natural to select elements directly without having to click as many times as they are nested inside containers?
Meaning containers could only be selected by clicking on their header part.
Deleting the whole container happens more than it should be when in fact I just wanted to delete one nested element.
It's rare to move containers, so this seems like a reasonable change.
We also easily lose track of how many nesting we are in.

Overall the "click as many times as the item is nested" feature just seems unnatural and gets in the way of the designing process.
