I'm installing using this guide : https://dosbox-x.com/wiki/Guide%3AInstalling-Windows-98#_installing_microsoft_windows_98_in_dosbox_x The issue happens after install, when I boot the local image of C: 
I've switched to all options available on 'Video > Output' (Surface, OpenGL, Typeface, etc) Also changed the Main > Machine to several others (while running DosBOX) and it also failed to produce any different results |

Using version 0.83.25 fixed the issue, I'll raise an Issue I think |
