Ubuntu's unity/window decorator features are not rendered correctly in clients because the server on these platforms is not getting the presentation layer graphics information.

Aparently this is a common problem due to unity/metacity presentation layers...
Other command line enabled tools like 'scrot' appear to be fully capable of working around this issue, perhaps this can be leveraged rather than creating a support library/tying off with evil per platform jni stuff.
